Living in Canada is like back to all the routines I had when I lived alone during college time. Except for the studying parts, there are household chores need to be done each day. I admit I haven't done a lot this time since I just got here 4 days ago.
These days, I really enjoy washing clothes & drying them out in the sun. It's summertime!! Although still a bit windy, the sun shines perfectly on the patio.
I don't wash clothes in the machine - yet. I do not understand how it works down there, and I need a chip for that - my Mom in law showed it to me but I have no idea where she puts it. And I never really liked the idea of drying clothes in the dryer, especially since most of my clothes are delicate. Bedsheets or jeans can go into the dryer, but not my lovely tops.
I am glad when everyone's gone: hubby, bro-in-law & mom-in-law are at work. It means that I have me-time to do anything I want, including "jemur baju". I don't know if it's allowed or not, I mean I don't want the apartment to be like Hong Kong's where I see "jemuran" everywhere. I don't see any drying rack in the house, so I use a table or even my semi-leather suitcase to lay the clothes out.
It's my favorite thing to do right now. Drying clothes out in the sun. It really makes me happy how instant they get dry, and I don't even need to iron them.
