for everyone
I've been back for a week from my Omra trip now. It was a crazy trip, time seemed to go very slow over there.. and it was kind of exhausting.

Many things have changed since I went there last time, which was 5 years ago. Lots of towers were destroyed in Mecca and I see lots of new buildings now. I even found a mall with MAC in it. Yayy!!

Not so many stories to tell from Mecca and Medina. What I did there basically was just praying, sleeping and eating Only some of the people that made me geleng-geleng kepala. Few times I found the masjid was overloaded. And still there were people who insisted, trying to get in. Even when it meant stepping on people's foot, even stepping on a kid. And that, made me realized how they had made Hajj heavier, how people can accidentally kill each other. Oh and now you can bring a  into Masjidil Haram. Yippiiiee!!

I was a little bit disappointed that in Medina we couldn't see the Prophet Muhammad's grave. They covered the place with some kind of a banner. You could pray in front of it, but you couldn't see what it looked like. My Mom had seen it in 1980 when she went for Hajj. She said they were very open and she saw what it was really like. I guessed, asking uncle google was the best thing I could do now..

Having spent a week in Saudi, my next trip was to Egypt for 3 days. I didn't expect a lot from it, only that it was dessert all over in fact, it looked a bit like Jakarta, except for the traffic. The t jam in Jakarta is quite bad, but at least there are lots of good cars still. There, even the most expensive car had dents. A citizen said "people don't care about cars that look good, they only care about cars that work good". Yea right!

Anyways, so I saw the pyramids, very interesting and made my jaw dropped still can't stop thinking "wow, how did they build that?" especially the top part.. I climbed a couple stones.. If my husband was with me and I wasn't too tired, I would've climbed a couple more, further away. Ah, and I saw the mummies.. Well, they're no different than skeletons, only they're brown because of the skin that's stickin'. And they're ugly.. I wished they were more frightening. Funny though, the egyptians (old ones) not only made mummies out of human, they made ones out of animals too, like tokek

Leaving Egypt, I was surprised to know there was another city ahead of me. We stopped over in Bangkok for a day. Didn't see a lot, only the jewelry museum (Bangkok is famous for it's blue sapphire and ruby), and then shopped at the night market. I did some shopping, but I wished I could see the city more than just a market. I had a lovely time shopping though, especially since they're very cheap and you could even bargain for cheaper prices.

Back home, I was wasted for 3 days. Enough whining, now I've gotta used my time and giving my best because in less than 3 weeks I'll be heading for another long trip.
